First impression: L'oreal Paris Mouse Absolue

What it claims - L'Oreal Preference Mousse Absolue Light Chestnut Brown is the 1st reusable permanent hair colour. Mousse Absolue is reusable, ready-to-use and delivers multi-tonal flawless colour at the touch of a button. The unique two-chamber system freshly combines your colour diffusing a rich, non-drip mousse for a precise and easy application.
Mousse Absolue's reusable system allows you to apply colour all over your hair, touch up roots or even target stray greys. Perfect Grey Coverage.

This is a 30 minute hair dye.
Likes: it is super easy to use, just shake and dispense. The foam comes out really nice and thick and applied easily. The colour is pretty exact to what it looks like on the picture, but i'm not sure its "light" chestnut, I would say medium to dark. It covered my roots seamlessly. If you had short hair this would be great to use as its reusable! I would agree that its multi-tonal.
Dislikes: it has a pretty intense smell! It burned my eyes and nose even with a window open. Do not try this without a window open! It only just had enough product for my hair, I know its long but other products like John Frieda have just over enough.
You'll need - T-shirt you don't mind getting dirty, hair dye!

Remove jewellery!

Apply thick moisturiser around hairline

Before and after, all with flash

I will try and get a picture of my hair once a week to document how it wears!

Trip to the student hairdressers!

Before, after and straightened.
A couple of months ago I went to a collage to get my hair cut, I got my side fringe done and it only cost me £5! The girl I had seemed a little preoccupied on the fact she was cutting a fringe and hardly trimmed any off the ends so I went back today to have a couple of inches off to get rid of the plenty of split ends I had.

In a nutshell, if this haircut (and the one I had a couple months ago) cost an average price of £28 I wouldn't be happy. But as they cost £5 and £8 (confusingly she charged me £5 the first time even though there is nothing on their price sheet that costs £5) I'm pretty happy! It took little under an hour for a cut and blow dry and someone came over once to check what she was doing. I have come away with one side is slightly longer than the other and blunt looking layers, thankfully I'm not too precious about my hair.

The girl I had was graduating this summer and going to set up her own mobile hairdressing business, I just hope she continues to charge a bargain price! She was pretty pre-occupied, checking her watch every few minutes and chatting to another hairdresser about getting someone to finish my hair cut off... She managed to finish it within the hour and I feel as though she rushed it. She didn't check the sides were the same length and didn't show me the back! She even snipped her finger and had to go get a plaster!

I suppose you get what you pay for. But for on a budget I do (for all my moaning) recommend going to your local student hairdressers.
